Description
The FRK+ is the FRK reworked for ordinary rather than perfect days. The original ran a round tail; this is a classic squash.
The maker gives a specific recommendation: ride the FRK+ slightly shorter than the original round-tail FRK. That's geometry — a squash adds area at the back of the board, so the same length feels fuller.
It keeps everything people liked about the original and adds release through turns. That comes from three things at once: the squash itself, revised concaves and repositioned fins, recalculated for the increased tail area.
Who it isn't for. Beginners: a performance shortboard needs technique and a wave. Weak surf wants a fuller shape. And adjust the length — your usual FRK size will be too much board.
