Description

The Raptor Extreme is built to go high and land hard. CrazyFly developed it with Big Air World Champion Posito Martinez, and it has been the brand's best-selling board for the last five years. It starts from the Raptor shape but is reshaped and reinforced specifically for big air and for the impact of landings from big jumps — even when ridden with wake bindings.

New for 2026. The carbon construction is completely new. CrazyFly added more carbon in the horizontal direction and introduced NW carbon, with fibres running in all directions. The result is better pop, more support off-axis and much more feedback — the board feels livelier and sportier.

Shape for load and pop. A more squared outline maximises tip area for load-and-pop. A high-modulus quadraxial carbon lay-up — used only on the Raptor Extreme and the Max — gives extreme strength and heel-to-toe stiffness for pop, while keeping more flex along the length for comfort. An edge control track and subtle centre vee add grip and speed, V tips help you load the line, Step Cap rails sharpen the edge, and a wakeboard-style grind base on the bottom is extremely tough.

Numbers. 135x41 (2.9 kg), 138x42 (3.0 kg), 140x42 (3.1 kg), 142x43 (3.2 kg). Stiffness 830 to 800 on CrazyFly's 0–1000 scale — clearly stiffer than the standard Raptor. Stance 38/42/46 cm; pads and straps or wake bindings.

Who it is not for. A stiff big-air board is unforgiving if you are still learning to edge, and it is harsher in chop than the Raptor LTD. If you want the same idea with even less weight, look at the Max.

Size. Big-air riders often choose a slightly bigger size for landing stability. Tell us your weight and kite and we'll recommend one.

“We ride this gear ourselves and teach on it. The main thing is picking the size for your weight and wind: bigger in light wind, smaller when it blows. If you're unsure, message us — we'll put together an honest setup, no upselling.”
