Description
A kite leash connects you to the kite after a release. It is not the surfboard equivalent: there the job is not losing the board, here it is keeping control of a canopy that has to depower and lie down on the water rather than fly away.
The leash works together with the release on the bar, and they get checked together: a release that frees the bar but leaves the kite powered is worse than no release at all.
Who it isn't for. Compatibility with your bar is not optional. And a leash is a consumable — the carabiner wears, the webbing chafes on the harness; replace it by condition, not after it fails.
