Description
The Apex is Airush's all-round twin-tip for freeride and big air: double concave with a pronounced centre spine. The concave softens landings, the spine holds an edge on flat water — the board both forgives a hard touchdown and doesn't let go when you load the edge before a jump.
The double basalt laminate raises responsiveness: the board answers edge load faster and feels less dead underfoot. Basalt rather than carbon is a deliberate choice — softer on landings and tougher, and most freeriders won't notice the difference in pop.
It rides in boots or straps; the maker points it at both.
Who it isn't for. Beginners — this is aimed at intermediate and up. Park and cable wakestyle want a stiff, purpose-built board. And size by weight and wind, not by what you had before.
