Description
The FLY is VAYU's core wing board and the widest size range in the brand: 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 110, 130 and 145 litres. That spread covers the light rider who wants volume just above bodyweight and the adult beginner who needs real float to stand up at all.
The shape is built around getting up early: a clean flat bottom for glide and early take-off, a flat tail for more glide, a wider tail for stability, and a sharp trailing edge that releases water cleanly. The scoop rocker line is tuned for fast planing and for absorbing the landing after a jump.
The deck is concave underfoot so you feel the foil more precisely. The foil boxes are carbon-reinforced, because that's where a hard landing lands. Block rails help the board recover from a slide in freestyle moves. Construction is hybrid; EVA deckpad and leash plug are included.
Who it isn't for. Riders chasing minimum weight — that's the FLY CARBON. Anyone focused on downwind paddling — take the longer FLY MIDLENGTH or the EDGE series. And prone foilers: 40 litres is still a wing board, not a prone board.
