VAYU FLY MIDLENGTH Foilboard

The FLY MIDLENGTH bridges the gap between a compact wing board and a downwinder. The outline is narrower and longer than a standard wing board, so it paddles efficiently, lifts earlier and accelerates more smoothly. Nose and tail stay wide to keep the stability that makes a wing board usable in the first place.

The bottom runs a single concave into flat for easy planing and fast take-offs. Rails are bevelled with tail cut-outs, so water releases cleanly and the board doesn't catch through turns. The front-foot deck angle is raised, which you feel immediately once up on foil. It rides strapped or strapless.

Sizes: 75 L (5'6" x 21.3" x 4.6"), 85 L (5'8" x 22" x 4.9"), 100 L (5'10" x 22.8" x 5.5") and 120 L (6'0" x 23.5" x 6.2"). Full carbon construction, EVA deckpad and leash plug included.

Who it isn't for. Freestyle riders — length works against you in the air; take the FLY. Dedicated downwinders will also find it a compromise, and the EDGE series has purpose-built shapes. And beginners: a narrow outline is less stable at the start than a wide board of the same volume.
