VAYU AURA X-V3 - ALUULA Wing

The AURA X V3 is VAYU's lightest and most expensive wing, and the difference from the standard AURA is structural rather than cosmetic. The leading edge is built from ALUULA Aeris FX-86 and FA-74 composite and is 10% smaller in diameter; the middle strut is full Aeris FA-74. VAYU calls the result STRUT-X — a 10% thinner profile with less drag and swing weight, and no loss of rigidity.

The brand states the comparison plainly. The V4 runs a hybrid strut of ALUULA and DKC160 dacron with a 4% leading-edge reduction; the X V3 runs full ALUULA at 10%. Both include a carbon boom and accept Click-Boom, but only the X V3 also takes rigid handles.

The canopy follows the same school as the rest of the line: Teijin 5x5 and 2x2 ripstop with Dimension-Polyant T835 X-Ply windows, on a custom profile matched to this frame. Sizes are 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5 m², projected aspect ratio 2.44 and flat 2.50. VAYU positions it as an all-conditions high-performance wing rather than a discipline specialist.

Who it isn't for. A rider still learning — you'd be paying for frame material at a stage where technique, not equipment, is the limit. Light riders in strong wind: the range starts at 3.5 m², and the smaller sizes only exist in the AURA V4. And anyone budgeting a full setup — the price gap to the V4 is roughly half a board.
