Description
The X-Race V2 is a race wing and nothing else. Leading edge and strut are both full ALUULA GOLD CG82, which buys the one thing that matters over a course: the frame doesn't breathe under load, the profile holds, and the pull stays where you put it.
The canopy is 100% double surface — the structural break from every freeride wing in the range. Segment count is reduced and internally cross-ventilated ribs hold the profile across a wide band of conditions. VAYU frames the payoff as VMG, velocity made good: gains both upwind and downwind, not just raw speed.
Windows are Dimension-Polyant T835 X-Ply and World Cup compliant — minimal stretch, clarity that survives load. Sizes run 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, 7.3 and 8.0 m², reaching higher than anything else VAYU builds, because races happen in light wind too. Carbon boom and leash are included. Colourway is red and gold.
Who it isn't for. Anyone not racing. A double-surface canopy on a rigid frame earns its keep on a course and simply makes freeriding more demanding and more expensive. For waves and freefly take the AURA V4; for all-round riding, the EOS V3.
