Description
Wakeboarding mostly ignores a problem this boot fixes: nearly every binding comes on one standard-width last, and a narrow foot swims in it no matter how hard you pull the straps. The Zoe Roffi last is narrow, and sizing starts at XS for a 20,5 cm foot — which covers kids, juniors and women the rest of the range simply doesn't fit.
Flex and hold. Medium-soft flex, low-profile build: the board comes through, the foot isn't clamped. A mid-position heel lace does the precise work while upper and lower straps handle fast entry and extra support.
Sizes. XS 20,5–22,5 cm (US 3–5, EU 34–36), S 22–24 (5–7, 36–38), M 23,5–25,5 (7–9, 38–41,5), L 26–28,5 (9–11, 42–44).
The upper. PVC microfibre with a textile, almost velvet texture. That isn't only a look: microfibre bends more easily than dense PVC, which is how this model ended up medium rather than stiff. Sandwich Mesh liner over Lycra and SBR, EVA J-Bars with orthopedic memory at the ankle.
Included. Two white straps, white and black laces with reinforced cross braid, POM lace locks in three colours, a Zoe Roffi jersey matched to binding size, five stickers and threadlocker.
Whose model. Zoe Roffi is a French snowboarder who competes and films between mountains and water. What she asked for was freedom of movement with real ankle support, and the boot is built around that.
Not for you if your foot is wide — a narrow last presses at the sides and no amount of strap adjustment fixes it; look at the Spanish Mafia or Savin Kirill. Also not the choice if you load kickers at full power: soft flex won't give you that platform.
