Description
Straps for a directional board. In waves they aren't there to lock you in — the opposite: the foot has to leave the strap instantly, because falling with a trapped foot in shore break is more dangerous than the wipeout itself.
Who it isn't for. A twin tip needs pads with straps — the IFS system. And plenty of wave riders go strapless altogether; if that's you, you don't need these.
