Same fourth-generation W-Connection (patent P403352), same logic: the board halves and travels in an ordinary suitcase. The difference is carbon in the structural layup over the wood core.

What carbon actually does: the same strength at lower weight, and more torsional stiffness. Torsional stiffness converts directly into pop and edge hold under load. The trade is that it transmits chop more sharply and asks more of your technique on rough water.

What's inside. A wood core — the maker's position is that nothing beats it: wood is strong, springy, light and damps vibration at once. Over it, an ABS sandwich that transfers power straight to the edges and kills chatter. Fibres are laid triaxially, in three directions: power goes to the rails and the flex comes out even.

APS — added pre-stress. Initial tension is built into the structure during production. The board gets more torsion-resistant and stores energy it releases in a jump — that's the pop. Side benefit: the same strength in a thinner, lighter board.

3D Technology lets flex vary across different areas of the board. Softer landings, more impact resistance, shorter reaction time — while the ride stays forgiving.

Hydrodynamic rocker was drawn from analysis of water movement under the board: instead of a flat centre, a profile matched to the actual flow. Less drag, more speed and acceleration.

Double Trust channels. Deep rectangular channels hold grip in every direction and steady the board mid-manoeuvre. In practice that means shorter fins are enough — and only two on wave boards.

Symmetric contour. Matched edges lengthen the working rail line on toeside — better grip on take-off and landing.

Who it isn't for. Riders who mostly deal with chop and want comfort — the standard NHP Split is softer, more forgiving and considerably cheaper. And beginners: a stiff board doesn't forgive sloppy edge loading.
