The Hubb Edition PE Deluxe is the shape most people mean when they say "a Hubb board": slightly wider than standard, so it planes early and holds a line without fighting you. The gentle nose rocker lets it turn inside the pocket rather than catching and stalling. The core is polyethylene. It is softer and heavier than polypropylene, flexes better in cool water and forgives a lot — the board tracks smoothly instead of skittering. Two EXT stringers (epoxy fibre tubes running through the core) hold the longitudinal stiffness so the PE does not go soft over a season. An 8lb PE deck with a handhold contour line means your hands find the same spot every wave and the board stops twisting in your grip. Nose bulbs, graduated channels and an HDPE slick underneath. Crescent tail on the 36", 38" and 41.5"; the 42.5" gets the Hubb Bat Tail, which releases more freely. Rails are 55/45, so it breaks loose easily but still holds on a steep face.
