Description

Neoprene trunks solve a problem nobody anticipates until their first long session: thigh rash. The inside of your legs meets a textured deck hundreds of times an hour, and by evening you know about it. The second job is the lower back, which is the first thing to get cold when you're lying on a board — and a cold lower back means a stiff torso and a weak turn. The 2 mm thickness is chosen so it doesn't restrict the legs while kicking. Thicker trunks are awkward in bodyboarding because the knees are working constantly. Worn on their own, under boardshorts, or as a base layer in warm water. The single most useful piece of neoprene for the tropics.
