The warmest suit in the range: 5 mm through the torso, 4 mm on the limbs, with the hood built into the suit. The hood isn't an optional extra here. In cold water the head loses the most heat, and a bodyboarder is in the water constantly — unlike a surfer sitting up on a board between sets. An integrated hood also stops water flushing down the neck, which a separate one never manages. The neoprene and seam construction are built for water around 5–12 °C. At this thickness the elasticity of the neoprene is the parameter that matters most: it decides whether you can paddle at all. This is kit for winters in Northern Europe, the Pacific Northwest or Scandinavia. In the tropics you will never need it.
