Description
The Comp is a competition down-the-line board. The high rocker lets you edge into the steepest part of a wave without pearling. The narrow nose and tail open up its full turning ability and top-to-bottom riding.
Airush kite-surf boards differ in construction rather than finish, and the difference is real. Reflex Carbon is the lightest and stiffest, with maximum feedback. Reflex Glass is heavier but tougher and cheaper. Reflex Wood is a wood sandwich with progressive flex — softer over chop, but it gives back less.
Reflex Glass raises durability and extends the board's life while keeping the flex. For a board ridden every day rather than only at contests, that's the sensible choice.
Separately: the inserts allow parallel or offset strap positions for different riding styles.
Who it isn't for. Light wind and small surf aren't its conditions — the high rocker drags. A narrow tail doesn't help a beginner either. And the carbon version is lighter if weight is critical for you.
