The Wingboard 4-in-1 comes hard at
1 249 € and inflatable as the Learner at 949 €. The name promises four disciplines in one board. Here is how honest that is.Which four disciplines
The formula comes from inserts and volume:
- SUP — stand-up paddling, the board's base purpose.
- Wing foiling — inserts for a foil mast.
- Windsurfing — a mast foot socket.
- Learning — volume and width that forgive mistakes.
The hard version is 10'4" × 32" in ASAP construction. That is 315 × 81 cm: all-round proportions, exactly the ones covered in our size guide.
The key question: where is the compromise
Plainly, because it decides the purchase.
At 10'4" × 32" it is a good all-round SUP. Almost no compromise here: this is exactly the size recommended to a beginner.
For wing foiling it is large. Dedicated wing boards are shorter and lighter — excess volume hinders you once you are flying, and the board catches wind at the start.
For windsurfing its volume is small by learner-board standards. Compare: the learner Start 2 comes in S/M/L, and the GO Windsurfer runs 165 to 185 litres.
The honest conclusion: this is a SUP board that also does three other things at a "give it a go" level. Not three full pieces of kit in one.
When it is the right purchase
Even so, the formula wins over specialisation in real scenarios.
One: you do not know what you will enjoy. Three disciplines for the price of one board is a way to find out where to go next without buying three setups.
Two: a family with different interests. One paddles, one tries a sail, one learns. One board for all is a genuine saving.
Three: a holiday house, a base, a rental fleet. Anywhere a board sits on the shore and different people use it for different things.
Four: storage. One board instead of three means metres in the garage and money on transport.
When it is a mistake
If you know your discipline precisely. A dedicated board gives more for the same money.
If you already foil. You will hit its volume and windage within a month.
If windsurfing is your main thing. Buy a learner windsurf board: different volume, different socket position.
A rule that holds across disciplines: an all-rounder is good until you know what you want. Once you know, it becomes a constraint.
Inflatable Learner or hard
The Wingboard 4-in-1 Learner Inflatable is
949 €, the hard one 1 249 €. A 300 € gap.Inflatable makes more sense if the board is for experimenting. It is softer in falls, and you will fall in all four disciplines.
Hard makes more sense if you already expect SUP to dominate. Glide and precision are higher.

What you still have to buy
An important point the "4-in-1" formula leaves out.
A board is a board. The price excludes:
- A paddle — from
Budget the whole thing. One board saves on the board, not on everything else — the classic all-rounder trap.
Practical advice: start with one discipline and add the rest as interest grows. An all-round board is precisely what allows that — unlike a specialist, which would force a second board.
Common questions
Does one board really cover four disciplines?
At a "give it a go" level, yes. As a SUP it is complete; for winging it is large; for windsurfing its volume is small.
Who does this board suit?
Anyone undecided on a discipline, families with mixed interests, and bases where different people use one board.
Inflatable or hard?
Inflatable for experimenting — softer in falls. Hard if SUP will dominate: better glide and precision.
What is included in the price?
The board only. Paddle, foil, wing and sail are separate — budget the whole setup.
When does an all-rounder become a mistake?
The moment you settle on a discipline. Then a dedicated board gives more for the same money.
