Who this kite is for

Sizes and how to choose yours

The Thrive comes in a wide range — from 5 to 17 m² (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17). That spread covers strong wind, light wind and every rider weight.

The general rule: the stronger the wind and the lighter the rider, the smaller the kite; the lighter the wind and the heavier the rider, the bigger. Many riders run a two-size quiver (for example a mid and a large) to cover the whole season. Thrive vs Thrive LiteX

Alongside the standard Thrive there is the Thrive LiteX, a lightweight premium build. The point of LiteX is the ultra-low canopy weight: the kite stays in the air better in light wind and starts flying earlier, which is why it is usually chosen in the larger sizes for light-wind days. If squeezing sessions out of marginal wind is your main goal, LiteX gives a noticeable advantage; for all-round riding in normal conditions the standard Thrive is plenty.
