The Generation is a touring, surfing and racing hybrid, and one of the cases where all-round genuinely works.
It is designed as the simple answer to 'which board if the conditions are different every time'. It is thinner than a touring or race board, which makes it lighter to manoeuvre and — this matters on the beach — easier to carry alone.
For paddlers who go out at weekends in varying places, sometimes catch a wave, sometimes cover distance, and would rather not own three boards for three scenarios.
