Description
A leash is the only thing connecting you to your board after a wipeout. Its length is a safety question, not a comfort one: too short and the board snaps back at your head coming out of a wave; too long and it gets a run-up before it reaches you. The rule is simple — match the leash to your board length or go slightly longer.
The One-XT cord is Ocean & Earth's top spec: moulded urethane with less permanent stretch for the same strength. In practice it springs back less under load and doesn't slowly turn into elastic that lets the board run too far.
Premium is the thick version: strength margin instead of minimum drag. It survives powerful surf, careless handling and a rental season. 7 ft.
Who it isn't for. Speed chasers — a thick cord pulls water and you feel it in acceleration; that's Slimline territory. Genuinely big waves want a quick-release model.
