Description
The OE1 Whip is aimed at light, agile surfers — the ones who don't have the mass to load a stiff fin. For that surfer a set of 'good' stiff fins makes the board feel dead: it runs straight and doesn't answer pressure.
The Whip solves this with flex. The fin gives under load, so a pocket turn comes out short and snappy, and you can break the tail loose deliberately and bring it back without losing control.
If your board feels stiff and you want to loosen it up, this is the set to experiment with first.
Dual tab, so these fit FCS boxes. For Futures you need the single-tab version.
Who it isn't for. Heavy, powerful surfers will overload a flexible fin into a slide where they wanted hold — they want the OE3 Speed. Same reason it's wrong for big waves. And they won't fit Futures boxes.
