Ocean & Earth Hypa Shortboard Travel Cover - 3 Board Bag

Hypa is Ocean & Earth's mid-tier line, marked XP for extra protection on nose, tail and rails. A board almost never takes a hit in the middle of the deck — it takes them on the edges, and the edges are what's reinforced here.

The shortboard travel version differs from the rest of the line in how the side is built: a moulded rubber wall runs along the rails, adding another 20 mm of protection. That isn't simply thicker foam — rubber holds its shape and spreads an impact along the whole side rather than absorbing it in one spot.

The fit is compact, cut to shortboard geometry, so the boards don't move around — and movement in transit does more damage than impact.

Who it isn't for. Fish and midlengths won't go into a compact cut; the Fish/Short versions are the wider fit. One board doesn't need a multi-board bag. And for driving it's money spent on protection the trip doesn't need.
