Description
The Velox isn't a specialist set but a reference point: the maker calls it the performance baseline for all Firewire shapes. It was drawn to work across boards from all three shapers — Machado, Mann and Thomson.
The outline is generously raked, which gives drive down the line and controlled, drawn-out turns. The template shows best on open faces and long lines.
One detail worth noting: a bevelled edge on the leading foil. It deliberately disrupts water flow immediately rather than letting it wrap smoothly around the fin; in practice that reads as extra stability through every manoeuvre.
