The Cypher is built for strapless freestyle and speed. The shape logic is the inverse of the competition Comp: a flatter rocker instead of a high one, a compact outline and parallel rails. That combination gives stability at speed — exactly what you need when the board has to track straight and land flat under your feet after a rotation.

A single-to-double concave keeps the surf heritage and softens the rocker, so it never becomes a plank.

Who it isn't for. In big, steep waves a flat rocker is dangerous: the board pearls. It's also hard work for someone new to strapless. And carbon is stiffer and dearer than you need while the board still meets the bottom.
