Custom Boards in Mui Ne: Surfboards, Bodyboards, SUP and Carbon

A board off the shelf is "roughly your size". A custom board is built for one person: your height, weight, level and the waves you ride. You can now order one through K1 — a shaper in Mui Ne builds it by hand, and K1 runs the order and helps you pick the dimensions.

What you can order

Surfboards (shortboard, fish, mid-length, longboard), strapless kite surfboards with a reinforced deck, bodyboards sized to you with your own artwork — or a batch for a school — and hard SUP boards for cruising, waves or downwind.

PU, epoxy or carbon

• PU + polyester resin — the classic soft flex and easier repairs, but heavier and dents more easily.
• EPS + epoxy — lighter, floatier and tougher; livelier and stiffer under your feet.
• Carbon — the most stiffness and strength for the least weight; the most expensive and least forgiving.

How ordering works

Send a short brief; a K1 manager goes through it with the shaper, and you can test boards from our rental fleet to find your volume. We agree the design, then quote the price and lead time — work starts after your yes and a deposit. The board is made in Mui Ne with progress photos, and you collect it at the K1 station; we'll help pack it for the flight.
