SIC Maui Okeanos 12'6'' x 27.0'' SUP board

The Okeanos is SIC's touring line: a long, narrow hull built to run straight rather than to turn or surf.

This size, in numbers. 12'6" × 27" × 240 L, 17.5 cm thick, 13.5 kg, max rider weight 100 kg. The 27-inch width is the key figure — that's narrow. A board like this runs faster and tracks better than a wide one, but it asks for developed balance, so it isn't a first board.

The outline states its purpose plainly: one foot off the nose measures 32.5 cm, one foot off the tail 47.5 cm. The nose is far narrower than the tail — the hull cuts water up front and keeps stability behind, under your feet.

The supplied weedless 8.3" fin has a swept edge so weed slides off instead of wrapping. For touring through lagoons and shallows that's a necessity, not a nicety. Boxes: one US plus two FCS II.

Who it isn't for. Beginners: 27 inches of width over 12.5 feet demands solid balance, and early sessions will be spent falling in. Waves and yoga want the wide Tao boards. And composite needs care — this isn't the ding-proof thermoformed build.
