SIC Maui Weedless 9'0 fin Fins

A weedless fin has a heavily swept leading edge. The geometry does one thing: weed and grass slide down the edge and off instead of catching on it.

Who needs it: in shallows, lagoons and weedy spots an ordinary fin collects grass within the first few hundred metres, the board starts dragging and wandering, and you have to stop and clear it by hand. A weedless fin removes that stop.

The trade is less hold than a straight fin of the same size: a swept edge resists sideways slip less well.

Who it isn't for. In clean deep water a standard fin tracks better. And check the box — US box and other systems need different bases.
