Torn neoprene is repairable, and repairable at home. A split seam or a puncture at the knee isn't a reason to replace the suit — it's a reason to glue it before the hole opens under load.

Do it straight away: the edges of a tear stretch a little more every session, and after a month they no longer meet.

Who it isn't for. A seam gone along its whole length, or neoprene crumbling with age, is past glue. And the suit must be clean and dry — adhesive won't take on salt or damp.
