Ocean & Earth Sar Bear Epoxy Softboard 8'6" Surfboard

The Sar Bear is a 8'6" longboard from the women's She Carmy range. A long board does one thing better than anything else: it catches waves that a short board can't. Volume and area give you paddle speed, and small mellow waves come almost without effort.

The other consequence of length is stability. At 8'6" you can stand without balancing every second, which is why a longboard remains the best learning board for an adult.

The soft deck is a safety matter: a board this long is heavy and inert, and meeting it in the shorebreak is memorable. A soft deck makes that meeting harmless.

Who it isn't for. Don't expect sharp manoeuvres — a longboard draws long arcs. In powerful, steep surf it's hard work, and carrying it out through the break is a job in itself. And you'll need roof bars: 8'6" doesn't go inside a car.
