Hypa is Ocean & Earth's mid-tier cover line, and its distinguishing feature is stamped XP: extra protection on nose, tail and rails. The logic is simple — a board almost never takes a hit in the middle of the deck, it takes them on the edges, and the edges are what's reinforced here.

The travel version for 3 boards differs from the day cover by one number: 20 mm of protection on nose, tail and rails. That's built for a cargo hold, where the bag gets put down wrong and someone's suitcase ends up on top.

External compression straps pull the stack tight. Untied boards slide inside the cover in transit and dent each other — damage that happens more often than any impact from outside. The wheels aren't a luxury here: a multi-board cover weighs enough that carrying it from the car park to the check-in desk is its own exercise.

Who it isn't for. Single-board travellers: a multi-board cover rides half empty, and empty space works against the board. For short drives it's more cover than the trip needs. And weight: a multi-board bag is heavy before you load it, and it eats your allowance on its own.
