The Droid is GONG's freestyle wing: compact, explosive, on/off power, world title in Surf-Freestyle.
The Aramid X build swaps the triple ripstop canopy for dense Code-X ripstop with a reinforced weave. Slightly heavier, vastly stiffer and far more resistant to stretch.
The practical consequence matters more than the theory: a firmer profile generates more power per square metre. Most riders drop half a metre from their usual size and keep the same low-end, gaining control up top. Response is immediate, and the cloth holds its shape season after season.
