Description
HIPE is GONG's inflatable board range for wing foiling and SUP foiling. An inflatable solves two problems a rigid board can't: it fits in airline luggage, and it shrugs off hitting a reef or a boat. The old price for that was flex — but Woven Dropstitch construction with a composite plate has closed most of that gap.
The HIPE NOTW is the all-round inflatable downwind SUP foil board. At 8'3 it's shorter than the Intruder — a deliberate trade: slightly less paddle acceleration, noticeably more manoeuvrability.
A generous front-foot area gives stability on the start and room to pump. Its element is short, messy swell, where a longer board starts to bury and this one carries through.
If your conditions are rarely perfect, this board will give you more days on the water than a specialist.
