Airush 2019 AK Foil Surf Complete - Aluminium 60cm / Plate / 1325 wing Hydrofoil

The AK Surf Foil is built as a crossover: it works in small waves and on a kite in light wind. That isn't a compromise for the sake of the catalogue — both jobs need the same thing, a large front wing at low speed.

The front wing is 1325 cm². Area is the governing number: the larger it is, the earlier the foil lifts and the slower you can go without dropping off. The mast is short at 60 cm, which is right for waves — the closer the board sits to the water, the shorter the fall and the easier the roll is to control.

The rear wing is medium-sized in an X-Wing configuration, with a detail that isn't obvious: the tips can be set up or down. Tips up gives stability and forgives mistakes. Tips down sharpens the entry into a turn and carves better. That's a rider-level adjustment, not decoration.

Who it isn't for. For racing and high speed 1325 cm² is too much area — that calls for smaller, higher-aspect wings. For a beginner a 60 cm mast is easy in shallow water but limits ride height in waves. And check the mounting against your board before ordering.
